I would look at NW Safe in Enumclaw. They carry a bunch of different brands and have hundreds in stock at a time. They also occasionally have scratch and dent models for discounted prices. I ended up buying a store brand from them as it was the same quality, but significantly cheaper than the name brands. Its a 24 gun safe and if my memory is correct it was about $900 about 2 years ago.

Don't know if you've had a safe, but you will want to about double the rating for the guns you need to store.  That is, a 20 gun safe might hold ten long guns without jamming stuff in the safe.

I own less than 10 long guns so a 20 would be perfect. Need some space for important papers some jewelry. Headed to Costal to look at one they have for $699.00. Digital combination, plus they are having a sale on Hamburgers for $.25. Anyone have a Vortex Viper HS 4-16-50mm with BDC they want to sell?

I just kept watching craigslist when I was looking for mine.  They come up from time to time at good prices.

Years ago when I was researching Gun safes,... I was advised to stay away from the digital locks. The true and tested S&B tumbler would out last the electronic digital. Maybe they have improved.... not sure now.

I second NW safes and say buy a Liberty Safe, unless their private brand is made by them. 2c

Check out the Cabelas signature series. They are made by liberty. I really like mine.

That's the route I went.  Has plug ins for a dehumidifier, and holes in the floor to bolt it down.  3 years now and zero issues.

I'm sure I will get flamed for saying but, modern safes(liberty, cannon type) are plain garbage. If your looking for actual protection any not just a metal box with drywall for fire protection look at https://www.sturdysafe.com
Not cheap but very good for the money.

Not so sure you can put liberty safes in the same category as most other safes.

Go cheap, but not stack on gun cabinets cheap.

When I researched safes a few years ago I was horrified by how little protection you got for under 20k, when it comes to both fire and theft.

I really couldn't justify the cost of a safe that truly offers protection, and until you spent another 20K or so all it did was make the thief  spend another few seconds to break into it and that didn't seem worth it.

I ended up with this unit (I am pretty sure for under $600).

I have done other things to my safe to slow down a thief (bolt it down, put it in a closet, etc) but I figure they would have it open in under 2 min if they want.

I think getting a few steps up from the gun cabinets is the best bang for the buck.

You will never shoot a camp bull by spending all your time hunting in the woods.
